We welcome you to the site of the Tall Club of Montreal (TCM). Oh yes! You read right! We are a social non-profit group for tall people and we are part of “Tall Clubs International” (TCI), which includes all the existing clubs in the world (see links).

We are a social organization for all persons aged 18 and over, measuring 178 cm / 5'10” and more for women and 188 cm / 6'2” and more for men (an essential criteria so that the Association can be recognized by the Tall Club International). Talls do not want to be different but such a height is a bit out of the norm. And the more one is tall and the more you feel a difference. It especially feels like that in the eyes of “others”. So, TCM Montreal allows all tall people to meet, exchange, share, in a simple manner through organised activities such as dinner at the Sugar Shack, hiking or biking trails, skiing days, sledding and skating, etc ... Also, a monthly dinner and a 5 to 7 club outing are organized, in order to welcome prospective members and formalize their membership after the height measurement before witnesses. It is worth mentioning that these two latter activities are always held on the island of Montreal as a significant number of members reside in the island and its periphery. This does not exclude that several of us come from areas around Magog, St-Jerome, Joliette and even Toronto and New York.

The TCM also lets you make great friends and who knows, maybe even meet a guy or girl of your size! Ladies, think you can wear your high heels and feel “short one” in the arms of many great men who attend our annual gala and gentlemen, remember that you will not need to break yourself in two to hear what your dance partner says.

What do we do?

What we do is attempt to have fun. This is a TALL social club, so every type of activity that is of interest to members in a fun/social context is a possibility. Many simply are interested in TALL friends to do things with in a group, while some want to meet a significant TALL other - it's all up to you. Often members like to wine and dine, some like to ride bicycles, some like Happy Hours, some prefer small parties, others enjoy hiking in the forest, or maybe a dance on Saturday night. We will never twist your arm to do anything you don't want to do, but we hope that you will frequently participate as you develop your new circle of TALL friends. There are well over 100 members, with a good mix of men and women, both Anglophone and Francophone, and they are of all ages.

There is a dinner each month and it is popular. Other activities change constantly. Some are as simple as going to a movie, but there are occasionally weekend activities covering two or three days, summer and winter. Then there is our spectacular Rendez-Vous Montreal weekend (sort of a convention) that occurs once each two years. TALL people from all over the world are invited and hundreds attend - Fantastic! We are frequently invited to activities offered by other TALL clubs. All of these activities are offered by and for members.

Who are we?

We are a nonprofit social organization which brings together very tall women and men for various social activities in order to meet and exchange.

TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP:

Minimal age: 18 years

Minimum size for women: 5'10 "(1.78 m)

Minimum size for men: 6'2 "(1.88 m)

ADHESION FEES: $ 30 per year.
